We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff. BCBS medical and dental insurance is offered for the employee and their eligible dependents (cost-sharing involved). Term life insurance and long-term disability is offered for all full-time, year-round employees. A 403B retirement plan is available for all employees and profit sharing retirement plan for all eligible staff.
We also offer voluntary payroll-deducted benefits. These benefits include automobile, homeowners and supplemental insurances.
All full-time employees, both year-round and seasonal, are eligible for annual paid vacation allowance. The amount of paid vacation is based on length of service and number of hours worked per week. Part-time staff with at least four years of service are eligible for a one week based on average hours worked per week. Holiday and sick-time benefits are available for eligible employees.
An employee discount is offered for retail and food service purchases. The Museum also offers complimentary and discounted admission coupons to all employees.

Guest Experience Manager, English Village
The Guest Experience Manager (GEM) is a key leadership position in the Museum Experience Group (MEG) management team and works on-site in the English Village and related areas to ensure that the Museum’s customer service philosophy is inherent and clear in all interactions with guests, and that the guests’ experience is second-to-none.
Oversees daily operations in the English Village including all tasks and programs that are carried out by staff. Provides accurate historical information according to Plimoth Plantation training and research, and a high level of guest engagement and satisfaction.
Living History Educator
Living History Educators provide a positive, friendly and welcoming environment throughout the Museum by facilitating engaging and informative interactions in which Museum guests of all ages can explore history according to their own interests. Accurately interpret 17th-century life using both 1st- and 3rd-person techniques on the Museum’s living history sites, elsewhere on Museum grounds, and offsite as assigned. Ensure the safety of all guests, staff and animals. Foster a spirit of collaboration and cooperation in working with all Museum colleagues including volunteers, Museum Guides and tour guides. Living History Educators work to maintain an optimal programmatic environment for Museum guests to experience Plimoth Plantation’s mission.
Development and Membership Associate
Plimoth Plantation seeks a motivated self-starter to be part of a small but energetic team in a fast-paced cultural organization. This individual will primarily provide database support (Blackbaud/Raisers Edge) as well as exceptional organizational skills to the Development Office. The successful candidate will be someone willing to work on a wide range of tasks.The ability to motivate prospective donors and members is important, as are communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be required to meet predetermined goals under specific deadlines.
Deputy Director, Museum Experience Group (MEG)
The DD/MEG is a senior level position that provides leadership for the Museum’s living history exhibits and all MEG programs and activities - both onsite and offsite. This position is ultimately responsible for translating the Museum’s guest-first commitment into engaging living history experiences, dynamic interactions with collections, and captivating interpretations of the history of Mayflower, Plymouth Colony and the Wampanoag homeland. This position functions as a departmental manager, providing budgetary and personnel oversight; is a brand ambassador for Plimoth Plantation in the community, and participates on senior leadership committees.
This is an opportunity to work at one of the country's most prestigious living history museums. Operating on a remarkable property overlooking Cape Cod Bay, Plimoth Plantation brings the story of America’s early foundation to life for hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Our gardens are a unique heritage landscape for current and future generations to experience and enjoy. This position is part of the team responsible for the upkeep and development of the Museum’s gardens and landscapes. By maintaining excellent standards of presentation of the gardens and landscapes you will contribute to guests’ enjoyment of this unique outdoor Museum. We are seeking an individual who will greet with energy and enthusiasm the challenges and opportunities inherent in the maintenance of gardens.
A genuine interest in creating artisanal breads based on historical recipes is a key ingredient in this job. The focus of the position is baking bread while engaging Museum guests with the history and methods of bread-baking as it relates to 17th-century England and New England. Use 17th-century and other traditional, historical or regional recipes to make small batches of bread and other baked goods, shaped by hand and baked in an indoor wood-fired oven. Provide exceptional quality artisan baked goods for sale in our shops. The Baker works closely with the Bakery Supervisor to ensure the success of the Bakery. Responsible to perform tasks related to all daily operations of the Bakery.
The Potter is one of the principal guest-facing artisans demonstrating in the Craft Center. The Potter’s primary responsibility is the demonstration of 17th-century pottery-making while effectively interpreting to Museum guests the history and significance of trades in England. The Potter also supplies the Museum’s Craft Center Shop with pottery for retail sale and the Colonial Interpretation Department with reproductions for use in the 17th-Century English Village, aboard Mayflower II, and on the Wampanoag Homesite, and by museum programs.
Wampanoag Foodways Living History Site Specialist
Supervise all aspects of Wampanoag Homesite Foodways program.Train staff on
preparation of native foods in early Patuxet. Shopping for Homesite foodways supplies.

We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented young people with an interest in America’s early histories who want to share in the day-to-day work of one of our nation's most important living museums. Plimoth Plantation's interns enjoy an intensive experience as diverse as the Museum itself centered on immersive, hands-on fieldwork. Interns also participate in a collaborative group project, enjoy field trips, and engage in unique professional development opportunities. Previous internships have been offered in Museum Education, Collections Management, Public History, Historical Clothing & Textiles, Public Relations, Marketing, and Development.
